Nearly Famous….

If you happen to be near a magazine rack in the next few days, pick up the May issue of Guitar World and check out page 18. Yep, one of my photos is there again. And, we’re moving up in the world….from page 69 in last month’s issue to page 18 this month! I could get used to this. Here’s what the cover looks like….

Some other updates…..several of the artists from Springing The Blues have contacted me about using some of my images from that wonderful event. Can’t wait to see them turning up on their sites and pages.

I’ll be covering the Florida Music Festival this weekend in Orlando. It is a gathering of music industry types from all over with over 250 performances in about 25 venues all over the downtown. Some bill this as the biggest pub crawl anywhere. A lot of up and coming musical acts will be performing and I can’t wait to check them all out. And I have full access! I’m hoping that I can make connections with some of these performers and music industry people that will lead to more opportunities in the future.

And my hometown newspaper has finally realized what they have in their own backyard. Before they wouldn’t even respond to the emails I sent them with submissions of my photographs from events around the Island. But today, right there on the left half of the front page, they published three of my pictures from the Katie Ride For Life, a local charity event that I was invited to shoot last weekend.  Guess I’m really moving up in the world!
